Week 4 with Tappan Elementary

At AT&T today we talked 3D shapes, watched movies on Toontastic, made a PowerPoint and reviewed. That was my report on AT&T. – Amira

Today at AT&T we did geometry shapes, and did some fables. We also did my Portalportal and caught up on things we didn’t have done. So, now you know what we did. Bye-Emilee

At AT&T we made movies that counted as a test. You had to explain about the polygons that you did. It was worth 20 points. Later that day, we went on a walking field trip around the campus taking pictures of geometry terms. There were many amazing sculptures. That is what we did at AT&T. - Mehli

Week 3 with Tappan Elementary

At AT&T today we went over the lines and polygons. Next, we did stations. The stations were My Portaportal, 3D exploration, SMART Board, 3D Shape Factory, and a game where you had to name the 3D shape, get information on fables, and a game where you had to use sticky tax to name all the edges, vertex, and faces. – Jacob V.

Week 3 with Willyard Elementary

This week Miss Cutlip’s class is learning about the sun and moon in science. What really is cool is that we are doing bit strips in reading. It’s where you make a comic strip about chapters from the book we are reading called Frindle. And there is another thing that we do and it is glogster. You get to make a poster about earth, and you even get to design it your way it just it has to be about earth. And we are also learning about the moon and how it doesn’t make its own light, the sun reflects light on it. -Clarissa

Week 2 with Tappan Elementary

Today at AT&T we did sentences and we took a test and did our fables. We took a test about polygons and lives. We reviewed lines and polygons too. - Ashley B.

We got off the bus and we put our stuff on the hooks and Brandon passed out pencils and Mehli passed out the folders and we got out our polygon packet and did a page. After that we did centers. We did Geo Boards, a SMART Board game, Venn diagram, and portaportal. Then we went home. On the Geo Boards we did guess my shape.- Payton

When we were at AT&T we did these things: We printed out math paper. We worked on our vocabulary sheet. We learned more about polygons. We learned what “poly” means. -Serena

This week in AT&T with Willyard Fifth Graders

This is Miss Cutlip’s class in AT&T. We always come in with smiles on our faces to hear what new technology we are going to use that day. Now here is some of what we are learning about. The class has learned that there is an imaginary line trough the middle of the earth called an axis. This week we have found out we are going to be using Ipads for science! Wow! We went on the Notepad and made a list of things that rotate and revolve other than earth. We also used the doodle buddy to make a picture of earth rotating and revolving. We are going to have a bunch of fun while we are there and I wish we could stay there forever.

AT&T Classroom Welcomes Ravenna City Schools

Our winter session is underway in the AT&T Classroom and we are happy to have with us two classes from Ravenna City Schools. Mrs. Angela Kohl and her fourth graders from Tappan Elementary are here in the mornings and are currently studying geometry and fables. In the afternoon, Miss Kandis Cutlip and her fifth graders from Willyard Elementary are studying the earth and solar system as part of their science unit. During the language arts portion of their session they are reading Frindle by Andrew Clements and using a variety tools to analyze various elements of the story.

AT&T is a wonderful place. We got to use ipods to do homework. We are also learning about Aesop and his fables. We are also typing to our fake friend Aesop facts. He was the one to invent fables. We are also making claymation movies for Aesops fables. We get to make up our own fables for our class and then we get to show our class. We get to go on the internet and do this game called MyPortalPortal.com You can go there too!

Today we went to AT&T and it was fun and now I will tell you what happened. First, we got on the bus, then we rode to Kent State University’s AT&T. Then we did a poem and we downloaded our pictures on the computers to our files and then it was time to go to Tappan and is what we did at AT&T.
