RCET Hosts Students from Upward Bound Summer Institute

Today in the AT&T Classroom RCET hosted high school students from Kent State’s Upward Bound 2014 Summer Institute. Students participating in today’s session were from Lorain City Schools & Windham Exempted Village Schools and are part of the Upward Bound Public Health program. The institute is a five-week residential program during which students have opportunities to take college-level courses and engage in a variety of hands-on experiences and field trips related to public health. Today’s session in the AT&T Classroom highlighted the role of digital tools in the field of public health. Students explored a variety of apps and online health-related games and were also introduced to tools that could be used for creating reports, presentations, and/or public service announcements. Students selected one of the tools to use to create their own digital production highlighting their interests and goals for the institute.
