2012-13 Cohort Begins in the AT&T Classroom

The 2012-13 school year is officially underway in the AT&T Classroom with teachers and students from Lippman School and Longcoy Elementary (Kent City Schools). From the Lippman School, teacher Sally Layman and her second graders are currently studying simple machines and the engineering design process using the LEGO WeDo Robotics system. The class is also investigating various tools and apps for digital story telling such as Kerpoof, KidPix 3D,  Photostory, Pic Collage, Toontastics, and iStopMotion.  Longcoy teacher Liz Shorr and her fourth graders are exploring the use of iPads as a learning tool to integrate language arts with math and social studies. Students use Educreations as an interactive whiteboard to show their work and used the StoryLine app to create a story problem to demonstrate their knowledge of place value.
RCET would also like to welcome the following students from the Honors College who are completing an Individual Honors Work Project in the AT&T Classroom this semester: Michelle Barrett, Carissa Deeds, Amy Fetterman, Julie Jacob, Erin Kline, Emily Merkel, Brittany Miller, and Pari Shah.
